    Default Workbasket magazine index

Didn't know exactly where to post this but in looking for the doodles I found an interesting PDF file.....it is an index of Workbasket magazines with Tatting patterns listed....it covers April 1944 to Feb/march 1996....thought it might be helpful.

Wow! This will be a great reference tool.... sometimes I see issues listed for sell but you don't know what all is in them... now I can look at the list and see which pattern is included in each issue.

There is a Yahoo group dedicated to the mag. In their files there is a complete listing of what is in each issue of the mag, not just knitting, crochet and tatting patterns but also other content.

They also have a great collection tracker tool which allows you to keep track of which issues you have, which are missing and which you have extras of.

Great finD! Thanks. I thought there were maybe 60 or so, but 27 PAGES Whew! Now to track down what I have missed that sounds interesting. Did you see the cute bat? (1988) Now, those two columns on the right.. any explanation about how to interpret the needle size? There doesn't seem to be a consistent match with needle size and thread size.

I think the 27 pages is for all the pages she has in the data base, not all workbasket tatting patterns.

The WORKBASKET patterns and information is still under copyright so we cannot post them on the web.

I have some extra Workbaskets, but have not listed my extra yet. Life and work stay in the way.

Looked like a pretty complete list to me. The first ones are about 1 line per pattern, standard sheets are about 11 x 8 1/2.. landscape, looks like about 25 patterns per page at least. At the end, they take two lines for most of the patterns.. so more like 15 or so?? The list is in order by date and page.

The list is a master INDEX, not the actual pattern. You're on your own tracking down the issue to find the pattern.
